At 3 1/2 years old, Chloe has started preschool!

She loves it! She's been patiently waiting while

Raylyn and Mommy went off to school.

Now it's her time to shine. We even went on a

special date to pick out her 1st backpack.

She was immediately drawn to this one because

"it has a picture of her on it."

We're excited for our June Bug and

all she'll learn through her preschool experience.

Now... 3 days a week, for 2 1/2 hours,

it's just me and my boy out on the town.

TJ's 1st Haircut

Tayson Jackson had his 1st haircut today.

Since birth I have been anxiously waiting for this day. Having a boy is completely different than a girl in so many ways. This is just one example... I waited until Raylyn was 5 before even trimming a hair on her head and Chloe is still waiting for her big salon trip. But with Tayson, it couldn't come soon enough. He looks so sharp and handsome.

The moment I have been dreaming of finally arrived!

In front of my loving husband, our three children, and family I graduated, receiving my RN pin. It was a lovely ceremony that included traditional nursing uniforms, awards, and the Florence Nightingale pledge.

I did not even attempt to control my emotions. Instead, I fully embraced the overwhelming joy and accomplishment I felt

as tears ran down my cheeks, I walked across the stage,

and stood in front of so many as my

acknowledgements were read.

Along my journey to becoming an RN I was continually shown support. At every turn there was someone there to cheer me on and keep me moving forward. I am especially thankful to my Heavenly Father who knows and understands me.

He answered my prayers and guided

me every step of the way.

I am blessed.

Jesse's unconditional love and support made these past two years manageable. He worked long hours on odd shifts to be able to take on more of the household duties while I was in class or studying. He made our family countless dinners, cleaned, and tended to our children with love.

Never once complaining.

Our marriage was strengthened and the love we share for one another has grown.

I am grateful for my three beautiful children Raylyn, Chloe, and Tayson. Their bright smiling faces gave me the strength to continue on everyday.

Thanksgiving 2011

We were grateful and happy to host Turkey Day 2011.

My parents, sister and her family made the well traveled path from Las Vegas to enjoy the feast and fun. For 27 years I have torn bread the night before to make homemade stuffing and eaten the exact same Thanksgiving meal, it's delicious!

Jesse and I enjoy these traditions and are having fun passing them on to our children.

The McCoys had a fun Halloween week.

We trunk-or-treated at our traditional church party and went door to door around the neighborhood.

Raylyn could not resist dressing up as Rapunzel and stepping into the role she and her hair were born to play. Chloe was a perfect little Alice with her Daddy as the Mad Hatter and Tayson our tiny tiger enjoyed his first halloween.

I am back at it for my 4th and final block of nursing school.

I love school!

It gives me a wonderful balance in my life and I have such a passion for nursing. When I'm there, I know it's where I'm suppose to be. Still, I'm looking forward to that moment when I walk across the stage in front of my dear family and friends and graduate.

cousin's wedding. This was their first trip down the isle as

flower girls

and they loved every minute of it...

I thought Chloe might be shy and hesitant. But she actually gave everyone a good laugh when she got a little upset because Raylyn ran out of pedals

and started throwing Chloe's. She shouted,

Where it all began over 8 years ago.

We love going back to visit, creating new memories, and

spending time with our family. For our children that means...

3 Great Grandpas, 3 Great Grandmas,

1 Grandpa, 1 Oma, 1 Opa, 5 Aunts, 5 Uncles,

and 13 Cousins!

This trip was amazing! We had the time to visit everyone. There was a wedding, 2 receptions, BBQs, play dates, swimming, and so much more. Jesse and I both feel lucky to have married into such wonderful families.

Tayson Jackson McCoy was given a name and a blessing

by his father on August 7, 2011.

The morning was beautiful and the spirit felt during Jesse's

heartfelt humble blessing was unforgettable

as a wife & mother.

Our home is blessed with a man who honors his priesthood

and leads his family righteously.

The support that we receive during these special occasions means so much. My parents traveled to spend the weekend with us. Also the majority of my dear friend Joanna's family, The Mayfields attended. We enjoyed an afternoon of great food, sweet treats, games, and laughter.

When I finally found it I had the bedding and curtains custom made. I must admit that decorating a boys room has been just as much fun as the girls.

For Chloe's birthday Oma surprised her with a

BUTTERFLY GARDEN!

And boy was she surprised...

Both girls thoroughly enjoyed learning and watching the caterpillars grow, turn into chrysalises, and emerge from their cocoons. It was fun to feed the butterflies and watch them get stronger everyday until it was time to be released into the wild.

2011 Family Vacation

We spent an amazing 4 days in Sunny California!

Most of our time was at the Happiest Place on Earth

Disneyland!

Our children had the best time. Raylyn and Chloe are the perfect age to go experience the magic and joy of the park.

We lucked out big time with small crowds and only waited an average of 15 minutes for all the rides. Jesse and I were able to enjoy time hopping from one ride to the next with our girls thanks to Grandma coming with us and taking great care of Tayson.

Our last day was spent relaxing on the beach and taking it all in. Tayson dipped his toes in the ocean for the first time while our little beach bunnies frolicked in the waves and built sandcastles.

Now we are back to reality with a few more tan lines and a lot of great memories!

Jesse and I celebrated our

8th wedding Anniversary!

A great friend of ours came over early in the morning to watch our kids and we headed out to the airport at 4:30 a.m. for a hot air balloon ride! The sunrise and temperature outside was beautiful. After watching the balloon inflate we hopped in and enjoyed about an hour in the air across the northern Phoenix desert. The ride was peaceful, relaxing, and the view was amazing.

When it came time to land we all "assumed the landing position" and braced for impact. This isn't the midwest where the balloons land in open grass fields, this is the rocky desert covered with cactus. We ended up bouncing and dragging for about 30 feet. The basket even tipped over! We all had a good laugh as we crawled out of the basket and dusted ourselves off.

A delicious catered breakfast was waiting for us so we celebrated and toasted with our bubbly sparkling cider to an adventurous 8 years of marriage!

Jesse spent 3 days of adventure with the

Scouts in our church ward. He was so excited to go!

Before this trip we had no camping gear, zip, zero supplies to tough it out in the wilderness. But now, we or should I say Jesse (and some day Tayson) are set!

He may have come back dirty and scruffy but we were so happy to have him and his bright smile home. Our girls followed him around for about an hour finishing off his snacks and asking question after question about his experience.

A few days after Chloe's actual birthday it was

time to celebrate!

Grandpa surprised us and flew in to party.

We enjoyed cake and stayed cool at a local splash park.

Lots of wonderful friends came out to enjoy the morning and

wish Chloe a very happy birthday.

I think Grandpa and Tayson had the most fun

playing in the water and getting wet!

Today is Chloe Jo's 3rd birthday!!!

I feel so much joy when I think back to that

magical Friday the 13th

when we welcomed Chloe into our family. We wanted her to be apart of our family so badly and she finally arrived. She was here...a happy healthy baby girl, another daughter, and a sister for Raylyn.

She is our peacemaker, daredevil, and comedian.

Raylyn completed her 2nd year of

Let's Play Music.

She is in love with playing the piano and was able to show us what she has learned this year at her recital. Raylyn is always eager to practice and plays very well.

This is one talented little lady.

Grandma and Grandpa were able to attend the recital. Grandpa even surprised Raylyn with a bouquet of beautiful flowers.

Congratulations on all you have accomplished this year.

We can't wait to see what the next year of lessons brings!

Two days after being discharged from the hospital we headed back where Tayson was readmitted for

high bilirubin levels.

Jesse and I were able to stay with TJ the whole time he was in the hospital. Thanks to my dear friend Christtina who let Raylyn and Chloe sleep over last minute and my loving sister Lindsey who drove from Las Vegas the next morning to take care of our girls and house.

Tayson did really well under the magical lights.

He was discharged after 2 nights and his yellow tan has been fading away ever since.

On April 28, 2011 at 11:05 a.m. Jesse and I

welcomed our son

Tayson Jackson McCoy

into the world.

Weighing in at 8 lbs 7 oz & measuring 21 3/4 inches long.

Tayson is happy, healthy, and has brought so much

joy to our family.

This pregnancy has been an exciting adventure

for our girls. They were so happy to finally meet

their baby brother and haven't

stopped loving on him since.

We were blessed to have my Mom and Dad

at the hospital for his arrival.

This afternoon I started to really organize the baby room.

Cleaning, hanging up clothes, packing the diaper bag, etc.

Our girls got into the spirit of things too.

Raylyn and Chloe asked for a diaper and a boy outfit. They dressed one of their baby dolls up and pretended to take care of their brother. He had a bath, clean diaper change, was dressed, and spent time in his swing.

They're going to be great big sisters!

Jesse's mother Rose, was able to come visit for a few days. Raylyn and Chloe were so happy to have their Oma here! We had fun at the water park, enjoyed some of Oma's delicious cooking, and the girls had a blast showing off on the trampoline, their bikes, and so much more. Rose even managed to spoiled her upcoming Grandson while she was in town. Thanks for a great spring break!

We attended an assembly where Raylyn was awarded the Student of the Month

in her class for Citizenship!

She was very excited to go up and accept her award. She told us she's "never wiping the smile off her face!"

Jump for Joy! It's a Boy!

This weekend my sister and mother

threw a fabulous baby shower. Everything was amazing!

The decorations matched and showed

off the colors of the baby's room,

we played games, enjoyed delicious food and cake, and plenty of laughs. This little boy is already so loved.

It was wonderful to spend the afternoon with friends

and family that traveled from near and far.

Our Ray of Sunshine RAYLYN is 7!

She is such a beautiful girl, inside and out.

Grandpa and Grandma were able to make it out to celebrate her special day.

Keeping with their very own tradition, Grandpa and Raylyn enjoyed Spring Training for the 7th year in a row!

She had her baseball and mit packed ready to go for weeks anticipating Grandpa's arrival.

She is getting old enough to remember last year

and was really looking forward to this year.

and guess who caught a fish......RAYLYN!!

What an exciting birthday for our birthday girl!

By Friday it was time to CELEBRATE!!

Let me share just 2 of the latest...

Yesterday I threw my drink AND cell phone in the trash, YUCK!

After searching my bag and retracing my steps,

hoping I had just overlooked it,

I went back to the dirty trash to dig through.

As I approached the dreaded trash

a man handed me my phone.

This perfectly wonderful stranger

had gone through the trash searching for it.

He overheard me telling my friends

I thought I had thrown it away.

Then...

This morning I was giving Chloe a bath.

I washed her hair but there were no sudzy bubbles,

so I rinsed and repeated about three times. Still no bubbles.

What was the deal, had the Pantene gone bad?

No! I was washing her hair over and over with the conditioner!

Oh well, she did get several comments today about her beautiful shinny hair.

Jesse worked a weekend in northern Arizona, where it does snow. He surprised Raylyn with a cooler full of snow when he returned. They enjoyed making a snowman and having snowball fights until the last drop of snow had melted.

Holiday Season 2010

The 2010 Holiday Season was a busy one. Full of excitement, family trips, and traditions. Halloween was a treat as we celebrated at our ward party. Jesse was kept busy with the Young Men designing and starring in their

"Haunted Cemetery" as a zombie

Raylyn wanted to be a scary vampire and that she did. Not one person recognized her when I sent out this spooky photo.

Chloe was an adorable lady bug.

Thanksgiving was spent with my parents
in Las Vegas.

It was nice to have the traditional Thanksgiving I grew up with and share it with my daughters and husband. The meal was outstanding. Raylyn and Chloe helped Grandma prepare the feast. Chloe started us out in the morning with our traditional butterscotch rolls and Raylyn stuffed and prepared the turkey for the second year in a row.

Our little ladies are going to be pros at Thanksgiving
dinner in their own homes.
Christmas was spent at home, just the 4 of us.

We had a great time making treats for our dear friends and spent a fun Family Home Evening night decorating gingerbread houses.

Back to Viva Las Vegas we traveled for a
Rockin' New Years with my sister Lindsey, her little family, Jake and Lola, and my parents. More of our traditional holiday food was eaten and everyone showed their competative side during the board games and wii. Our perfect spot at the airport parking garage gave us a panoramic view of the Las Vegas strip and all the fireworks.

Jesse surprised me on my 20th birthday {June 2004} with horseback riding through the beautiful mountains of Utah.

It was an amazing experience, however I did learn

1 valuable lesson that day....

Never wear shorts horseback riding, Ouch! I will never forget how my legs were scratched, bleeding, and burning by the end from all the bushes and trees we went through.

first day as a 1st grader!

We were able to stop off for a quick photo shoot

before class since she was ready in record time.

It was much easier for Jesse and I this time around, not quite the sob story like last year. Chloe and I were certainly eager to pick up our Ray of Sunshine this afternoon and hear all about her day.

This week I hosted a Christmas in July Craft Night.

A few months ago I came across this cute

idea for a Christmas Countdown Calendar using mini muffin tins.

To get a jump on the holiday season we fired up the

cricut machines, pulled out the Christmas paper, and created

these beauties...

Under each date it contains an activity to do as a family.

There was a great turn out. All the ladies showed

their unique style and crafted a fun way to

countdown the month of December.

babysitter and hired a personal chef to come

We enjoyed tossed greens salad with balsamic vinaigrette

salmon, couscous, asparagus,

and for dessert lemon custard cheese cake.

The Spring 2010 soccer season came to a close this weekend. Raylyn was awarded her gold trophy with a big smile. Sure there were moments when I would kindly remind Raylyn she was in the middle of a game and the chatting, flower picking, and lady bug catching would need to wait until afterwards....

Every Saturday morning we looked forward to heading to the field and watching her play. They don't keep score at this level, however I could count on Raylyn to tell me how many goals were scored and who really won. She has a little bit of a competitive edge, but every great athlete does!

I did it, I survived my first week of nursing school! It was a blast, I can't wait for more. I am lucky to have such an amazing support system as I dive into the program. My sweet mother came and stayed with us for the week. She cooked fabulous meals, took care of my children, cleaned, and so much more to make my first week as easy as possible. Even a the age of 25, married with 2 children I still need my mom and she is always there for me. I love you! And of coarse since she was here on my first day she took the traditional photo with backpack and supplies, so here it is. I don't think I could of been more excited!

Thank you mom, you are a shining example of service and love everyday!

This was my second time hosting Thanksgiving.

It was wonderful to have my mom, dad,

sister and brother-in-law over for the feast.

A highlight from our day was teaching

Raylyn to stuff and cook the turkey.

She was not shy about the process and it

was quite entertaining listening to her

tell the bird who was boss.

She's a natural in the kitchen. This year's

turkey was the best! Way to go RayJ

It was fun celebrating old and new traditions.

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without the

night before "tearing of the bread"

for stuffing. Chloe's technique

worked great, 1 in the bowl 2 in the mouth.

We are very blessed and have so much to be

thankful for!

Family Fun at the Fair

We had a blast at the state fair this year! Jesse's work took all the employees and their families for a great night out. We enjoyed hours of rides and yummy fair food. Here's a few photos of our evening.

Chloe loved her first carousel ride and Raylyn was excited to be tall enough to go on most of the big rides.

Jesse and I took turns going on the rides with Raylyn and watching with Chloe. Before we went to the fair I said I wasn't going on the big rides but some how I was roped into all of them and it was awesome!

We had such a carefree, fun time.

Halloween 2009

Our holiday fun started off with a FHE activity, carving

pumpkins. Raylyn was especially excited because she

carved her very own pumpkin.

Both our girls however thought the pumpkins were gross

and couldn't stand the smell.

Ooops I erased the picture of Raylyn digging out the insides

with a scarf tied around her nose,

but Chloe's face says it all.

Chloe was a darling Dorothy this year and Raylyn rocked as a clown. Growing up I always wondered where my candy would disappear to at night, now that I'm a parent I KNOW! Jesse and I have checked, rechecked, and check some more, yep all the candy is good to eat...real good!

After being on the waiting list for over a year I received

the best news. I've been placed in the

nursing program!

I start January and graduate in December 2011

with my nursing degree. My dream of becoming

an RN is closer then ever.

With the support of my loving husband

and very excited daughters I know I can

It's General Conference weekend!

I am looking forward to listening to our Prophet's

voice and taking in all the inspiring talks.

I have my pen and notepad ready but what

to do with our little ones??

Thinking it over i googled

"ideas for keeping children entertained during conference weekend"

and ran across a few good tips.

Talk about a couple key words, simple words...

prayer, faith, Heavenly Father, etc

and every time your child notices it they

receive a special little treat.

Pull out a chart with the leaders

of the church and as

they speak put a sticker on their picture.

Great for Raylyn! Chloe might

just stick to a few of her

favorite toys and help her sister eat the special treats.

Bowling Night

Saturday night Jesse's work had a bowling party.

We went and really enjoyed ourselves.

Raylyn and Chloe had fun making a few new

friends and we discovered that I do not

have a hidden bowling talent.

However, Raylyn is awesome! She had a blast and all the

way home she kept saying it was the funnest

night of her life!! Wow, I guess we better do it again.

Chloe just might have the gift too.

Every chance she could get, she'd charge

the lane....full speed ahead, fists clenched, arms back,

in her cute little bowling shoes.

Jesse and I ended up with the exact same score,

I guess we both need to equally work on our bowling game.

Home Sweet Home

It's nice to relax and enjoy our lovely home sweet home.
Over the last week we've moved in, started

hanging a few pictures, and unpacked our precious cargo...

I could not be happier to have everything out of boxes.

I was relieved to find a few bins of Raylyn's clothes from

her toddler years and found Chloe a new wardrobe.

She was not as ready to hand down to her sister.

Wednesday was Raylyn's first day at Ms. Adrienne's

class! The whole family is loving the time spent practicing the bells and singing along to the songs. It's a wonderful music program that will prepare her for playing the piano and whatever else she wants to pursue musically.

Sweet Sisters

Our beautiful girls are so sensitive to each others emotions. If one is upset the other one is right there. Yesterday they were playing in their room together and I heard a bang followed by tears from Chloe. While I was walking back to check out the situation Raylyn was walking with Chloe in hand to tell me what had happened.

"Chloe bumped her ear, it's a little red but she will be ok. I just need to rock her."

I helped my sweet Raylyn into the chair with Chloe and she rocked her baby sister until the tears stop. I love our girls with all my heart and it's amazing to see these two interact with each other in such a loving way.

Their relationship is truly one of a kind.

After 2 years in our apartment we are ready to move on. Our family is moving into a house at the end of the month and we are really looking forward to more space, an extra bedroom, a backyard, garage....

I've started the never ending process of packing our belongings and I am surprised at how many boxes can be filled with each closet. Who knew we had so much "stuff". Hopefully I can weed out all the unnecessary items that never get used and just take up space. Don't worry mother....I'm thinking twice before donating or throwing things out...she knows how much I loath clutter!

Just the tip of the iceberg since I have the lovely task of painting a few walls and deep cleaning for our move out inspection. I just might cave and get some help on that one. This move has been in the works for awhile but now that boxes are stacking up it feels real. We are going to miss our ward family and great friends. Thankfully we aren't going too far so we can still get together with everyone!

First Day of School

Monday was Raylyn's first day of kindergarten!! The early mornings are something we will all be getting use to. 7am is much earlier then the 9am mornings we have enjoyed. Jesse and I took turns trying to wake RayJay. She's a very hard sleeper. Raylyn has her very own alarm clock now, HA, it was going off in this picture and she was out cold. After a nice warm bath and a special breakfast from her Daddy she was excited and ready to go! Jesse holds the priesthood and gave Raylyn a fathers blessing before her first day. We were all filled with a peaceful feeling knowing she would do great and be comforted while away from her family.

We arrive early to school so
Raylyn could meet her teacher and find her desk.
After a few nudges from Jesse it was time...I had to let go. I kept it together until we walked out of the classroom and then the tears started. By far the worst feeling ever! But I'm so proud of Raylyn and the courage it took her to go
to school and meet all new friends and be away from her comfort zone everyday.
The best part of our day is picking up Raylyn and seeing her bright smiling face. She's full of stories and papers to look over and sign. It's fun being the Mom of a kindergartner!

2009 Family Reunion

This years family reunion was wonderful. Jesse and I were able to take our girls to Utah for a great weekend. We really enjoyed catching up with everyone and cooled off in the 90 degree weather.
Rose surprised the girls with fireworks and sparklers. Something we miss out on being down here in the desert. Raylyn and Chloe loved it! June Bug held on to me tight but was mesmerized by all the pretty colors and loud noises.

Jesse's brother Kenny has two beautiful daughters and we loved watching all our girls play together. Cousins are the best.

We flew up together but Raylyn, Chloe, and I stayed around a few extra days with my parents. Let's just say I received more then one "can't you keep that baby quiet" looks on the flight home. Chloe screamed and screamed and screamed some more. I could not figure it out. I went down the good ole' faithful list...diaper, hungry, ears,......apparently she needed a chocolate fix. When the flight attendant come over to help and brought some chocolate cookies she calmed right down and was an angle the rest of the flight. {Memo to self....bring chocolate cookies on ALL flights}

New accessory

Today we went down to Primary Childrens Hospital and Raylyn had her walking cast put on! Unfortunately they did not have the sparkly rainbow cast she was hoping for but there was pink! 3 Weeks in the cast and everything should be good to go. She couldn't be happier to be walking around again.

I don't think she'll need to worry about an icebreaker for her first day of school. We'll just send her with a marker for all her new friends to sign!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to see RayJ and helped keep her entertained during her 5 days of riding the couch.

{She broke her foot!!}

It wasn't the photo shoot we were hoping for.

Last night were we at my bro-in-law's

softball game and all the kids were playing at the park.

The story goes.....

Raylyn and another friend were trying to lift a

VERY large rock to put down the slide and

it dropped on her foot.

Ouch!!

I feel awful because I was watching the game

when the terrible incident happened.

She was crying so hard and the pain was so bad

we knew there must be something seriously wrong.

Here's the goose egg that appeared instantly.

After waiting, waiting, and waiting some more

the Doctor told us she would be put in a

temporary cast for a few days until the

swelling goes down. Next Tuesday she'll meet

with the orthopedic specialist for a walking

cast. So for the next few days she isn't allowed to

walk. Here's a great example of how heavy

Raylyn sleeps. The nurse put on her splint and

she was out the whole time. Didn't budge a muscle,

even with a broken bone.

Finally leaving the hospital at 1 am.

Raylyn woke about 10am with a ton of questions

about what happened and what is going

to happen. She's counting down the days until she

can walk again 5! Aunt Lindsey surprised her

with these beautiful flowers, she's so sweet.

It's wonderful seeing her smiling and feeling better.

The next few days will be tough. Normally

Raylyn is running around, playing, you know...being a

regular 5 year old. We'll just keep entertained with

movies, board games, and nail painting.

Mother Dear I love you so

This week my Mom and Dad came for another great visit.

We had such a lovely time, they spoiled us

like crazy, and most exciting of all my Mom surprised

me with this gorgeous quilt that she hand made.

I was completly shocked and had no idea she

was making this. The star material is from

our wedding reception. She held onto it

and made this beauty. I can't wait to get a wall

hanging to mount it in our bedroom!

We hope your 4th of July was a BLAST!

Ours was jammed packed from sun up to sun down.

We started off the day with a DE-Lish breakfast at our

church, went to a movie, enjoyed an afternoon with friends

BBQing and swimming, and ending with a local firework

show. I love the 4th of July. I didn't take many pictures

but had a great time and loved that I spent

3 full days with my main man! Talk about Fireworks!

a few of our own adjustments but my loving husband stayed up

late helping me with this fun project.
I did get 1 shot of Chloe Jo playing in the water at the BBQ.

Alaska Adventure

This week was incredible! Jesse and I feel so blessed that we were able to take our family to Alaska! It was fun showing Jesse and our girls around my birth state. We enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane and visiting some of the houses I grew up in, where I went to school, and so much more. Here are a few photos and highlights from our trip!

This is a nice hike we took in Eagle River. I skied and hiked these trails many times when I was younger. It was great to be back there with my husband and daughters, watching them enjoy the beauty.

Everywhere we went Raylyn was searching for wildlife. This is "Lucy" one of the moose we came across.

Alaska summers are wonderful. The daylight is endless so we were able to get the most out of each day. This picture of Raylyn was taken about 1am down at the water front. One full day we spent down at Ship Creek where they were holding their annual Slamin' Samin' Derby. Jesse fished his heart out. He was dieing to catch a fish, but only had a few bites. I loved sitting, relaxing, and watching him. This is a lifestyle we could really get use to.

Jesse and I shared a beautiful evening together in the Anchorage, Alaska Temple. When my family moved the Temple was about to be built so it was amazing to go back and attend with my husband.
After my brother Brad's lovely wedding and reception we walked down to the lake and took family photos. It was awesome to have everyone together and get our group shot.

Getting Ready

This morning I took Raylyn to her kindergarten assessment! Yes it's true, the time has come, ready or not (me). Everything went really well and Raylyn was being her funny outgoing self. The lady running the assessment was asking the kids to follow instructions, count, ABC's, etc. When asked who cooks the food at your home Raylyn says, "my Mom and sometimes my Dad" follow up question "who is the better cook" and Raylyn replies "Grandma!" too funny. She had the room laughing a few times. I am sure going to miss having this beauty home with my everyday.

Memorial Weekend

This Memorial Weekend was a blast!! Jesse was off and my sweet Mom came to town. My Mom spoiled us with a lot of great meals. It was so nice hanging out doing what we do best, talking and laughing. Jesse even set a personal record and slept in until 10 am. Living the good life!

Chloe is a mama's girl but warmed up to Grandma right away and was showing off her newest tooth and latest talent walking (post and video to come, I'm still in denial) I am lucky and have no problem getting our girls to eat healthy food. They absolutely love their fruits and veggies, Check out Chloe grinning from ear to ear enjoying fresh watermelon.
Raylyn was excited to introduce Grandma to her latest pet Peek-A-Choo. This is a surprise Jesse brought home a few weeks ago. Peek-A-Choo is an easy going bird that Raylyn loves and is great at taking care of. For the most part we don't even notice her, she just hangs out in her cage and occasionally lets out a chirp, NBD! The most exciting part of the day is when Daddy gets home and lets Raylyn hold her little buddy.

Productive Saturday

Due to Jesse's work schedule our fun Saturdays actually take place on Thursdays when he's off. Today the girls and I spent our Saturday preparing for my Mom's visit. Since before Raylyn could walk or even talk I would have her help out around the house. Of coarse it was simple things like putting toys in the bucket or even just talking to her about being tidy. I 'm trying my hardest to teach responsibility and respect for our home and family at a young age so there's no shock when the big chores come around. Now it's amazing what she does and is willing to do. I try to mix it up to keep it entertaining. Sometimes we stick to the chore chart,

or I'll set the timer and we'll run around seeing how much we can pick up in 10 minutes (always a crowd pleaser), or today we did Raylyn's idea and she picked the chores. I cleaned her room and she cleaned mine. Let's just say she was done much sooner than I was but WOW I've got to say she did a super job! We also had time for some girly girl fun! I love taking mommy time outs and getting pedicures so today I treated the girls to some home made pampering and gave them pedi's to "match mommy's" Clearly Chloe and I need sun, we're blending in with the carpet.

Journeyman Plumber Jesse

4 years of hard work, long hours, and late nights studying have paid of big time! Jesse took his Journeyman test today and passed with an amazing score. I am very proud of him. It is so refreshing to be married to someone who loves their job. This is such a great day for Jesse and I feel lucky to be able to share this special day with him. His journey of becoming a professional plumber has been an exciting ride. I love my "Jesse the plumber"!!

Summer has started!

Raylyn had her last day of preschool today! It is officially summer! They celebrated the last day with a water party and BBQ. Raylyn gave Mrs.Dawn a big bouquet of flowers and thanked her for such a fun year. I couldn't of asked for a better preschool teacher. She was amazing with Raylyn and taught her so much. We are looking forward to a fun summer. We have a few vacations lined up and can't wait to do our very first back to school shopping before KINDERGARTEN!

Lindsey and I took the girls shopping and found a few great stores right around the corner. We've really been trying to get out and explore our area more. There's a small but affective water fountain in the mall where we cooled off. Check out these beauties!!

The only way Chloe was happy in the water was when Raylyn carried her. It was sweet how Raylyn sat down real close to Chloe and talked to her, telling her "it's just water, it's safe" my heart was melting!

This was her on her own. Not too happy. She LOVES being in the pool but I think it was all the loud noises from the fountains and the kids running around that scared her. She spent most of our time there sitting in the comfy chairs munching on grapes.

from a magical weekend in Disneyland!

My brother Zack took his family and my parents joined them. They called and asked to take Raylyn and of coarse we said yes! It was tough having Raylyn gone for so many days. I missed her like crazy but everyone sent me text messages and emails loaded with pictures during their trip. I love technology! I was up to date on all the fun. She had the greatest time and is still telling me stories of her adventures. Thank you Mom and Dad for giving Raylyn and vacation she will always remember! Raylyn, her cousins MaKayla, and Kiera had a special lunch with all the Princesses. She also saw just about all the characters around the park and "got them signed up"

...diapers for the first time in 10 months! Can you believe it? Thanks to an amazing group of friends and family we were stocked up from day one and bought diapers for the very first time today for Chloe. Diaper showers are the BEST THING EVER! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

After noticing a few things with Raylyn's vision I made her an eye appointment. Sure enough, she is extremely far sighted and needs to always be wearing her glasses. We picked out a cute designer pair and a few weeks later she is use to her new glasses. The only concern she had was she thought all the kids at church would think she was the teacher.

The pool where we live is heated year round so we have gone a few time through out the "winter" but now that the weather is really starting to heat up we have been spending a lot more time at the pool. Raylyn is an amazing swimmer and Chloe loves being in the water and hanging out pool side. Lilly our pup turned 3 this year and is the best dog ever. She has been around children her entire life so she is great with our girls. One reason I love having Lilly around is because she is very protective of our home and people who come into it. Jesse works long hours so she gives a nice sense of security. But as you can see she is a softy at heart.

A few weekends ago we spent the day at Luke Air Force Base for their air show. It was awesome! Raylyn dressed up in a flight suit and looked like one of the pros. She loved running around and checking out all the planes. The only thing missing was shade. We spent as much time as we could there and then decided to watch the rest of the show from the comfort of my sister's grassy, shaded front yard on base.

Chloe is everywhere these days. Standing on her own in the middle of the room and crawling into little hiding places. She was laughing her little bum off the other day and I found her hiding under Raylyn's craft table. She climbed up there herself and hung out for about 5 minutes laughing, it was even funnier when she rolled her little body off. These two are little comedies.

As you can see we haven't been up to a whole lot the last few days. Raylyn and Chloe share just about everything, including sickness. Both girls have pink eye right now and I try to do the world a favor and keep my kids on lock down when they're sick. So we've been lounging around the house and don't they look comfy.

Jesse is the greatest Dad to Raylyn and Chloe. They are lucky girls. Jesse's job can be very demanding and time consuming but he always makes sure our girls know how much he loves them. They adore their Daddy. He's so active and patient, and always understanding to little girl emotions:)

Raylyn had her very FIRST haircut!

I have never trimmed a hair on her head. Even when gum mysteriously found it's way into her hair, I would pull each strand out piece by piece. We took her to a fun kid salon where she got the works! Mani, pedi, shampoo, cut and style. I better be careful or I might wind up with a little diva. I wasn't the only one attached to her hair, a total of 10 people were there to witness the first cut. Only 3 inches came off the bottom but it looks much healthier.
